1. Policy Statement

We operate with integrity and transparency and fully support the objectives of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically in all business dealings.

2. Our Business

K Scaffolding Ltd provides scaffolding erection, dismantling and associated access solutions across the UK construction sector. We work with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and labour providers and recognise our responsibility to ensure fair, lawful and ethical working practices throughout our operations.

3. Our Commitment

We are committed to:

• Ensuring all workers are treated with dignity and respect
• Providing a safe and fair working environment
• Preventing forced, bonded or compulsory labour
• Ensuring no child labour is used within our operations
• Paying workers fairly and in accordance with UK minimum wage legislation
• Verifying that all workers have the legal right to work in the UK
• Ensuring freedom of movement and that workers retain control of their own identification document
  
  

4. Responsibility for the Policy

The Directors of K Scaffolding Ltd have overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with legal and ethical obligations.

Management at all levels are responsible for:

• Implementing this policy within their areas of responsibility
• Monitoring compliance
• Ensuring workers understand their rights
• Reporting concerns appropriately
  
  

5. Due Diligence & Supply Chain Controls

We recognise that risks may exist within the construction industry supply chain. To mitigate these risks, we:

• Conduct right-to-work checks on all employees
• Vet labour agencies and subcontractors before engagement
• Require suppliers and subcontractors to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
• Reserve the right to terminate contracts where modern slavery concerns are identified
• Monitor working practices on site

We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to uphold the same high standards.

6. Reporting Concerns

All employees, subcontractors and business partners are encouraged to report concerns about modern slavery or unethical practices.

No individual will suffer retaliation for raising genuine concerns in good faith.

7. Training & Awareness

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks within our workforce. Relevant staff will receive appropriate training to identify and report potential signs of exploitation.

8. Breaches of this Policy

Any breach of this policy by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

We will not knowingly engage suppliers or subcontractors involved in modern slavery practices.

9. Review of Policy

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation or business operations.
